Kids Camelbak Water Bottles
I have these Camelbak water bottles for my kids and they work out well! There are many different colors which helps make it clear whose is whose. They come apart for easy cleaning. Be sure to clean the spout well.
Kids Water Bottles without a Straw
We found that the water bottles above are great at being leak proof but they are a pain to clean every night with all the parts and places to check for mold, etc.
I came across these water bottles recently and LOVE them! They are easy to clean, they are stainless steel inside so they keep their water chilled and have a nice handle.
These water bottles hold 16 oz and come in several different colors and designs! One of my twins got the dinosaur one, the other got a pink and purple swirl one, and my oldest got the one pictured below, the space one. We used them on our vacation recently where we were at the beach most of the time and they were perfect! The kids were delighted at how long their water stayed chilled!
Camelbak “Eddie” Water Bottles
Camelbak water bottles are great for adults too! My husband always has a Camelbak and I tend to have my Nalgene since I require more water and use mine to fill up the kids’ waters. The Camelbak comes in many colors and sizes, as does the Nalgene.
32oz Nalgene Wide Mouth Water Bottle
The Nalgene bottle that I have is similar to this one, but about 10 years old. They have many different sizes but I prefer a 32oz. It’s great to fill with water and ice, if desired. I’ve even been known to add some lime to my ice water.
Splashguard for Nalgene
The Nalgene above has a wide mouth which is awesome but I tend to spill…so I’ve found that having a splash guard in it helps prevent mishaps. This way the ice stays out of my mouth as well! I’m able to take the splash guard out to clean and fill up with water unless I want to try to get water through the relatively small hole. I do it sometimes but not always so brave. Unfortunately, I can’t find a listing for my 10+-year-old splashguard that is pink and has a butterfly on it but here is another great option.
Neoprene Carrier for Nalgene
This insulated carrier is great for keeping cool drinks cool. The other day, I filled my Nalgene with half water and half ice then put it in this carrier. The ice was still frozen hours later, it was amazing. The water was nice and cold.
Honestly, the one that I have is no longer available but the one below is WAY better than the one I have as it closes, has a removable lid to keep everything super cold, and has a handle! I’m going to add this new one to my Christmas list!!!
Stainless Steel Water Bottle
If you’re looking for a Stainless Steel water bottle instead of glass or plastic, here are some great options.
Contigo Stainless Steel Water Bottle
The Contigo Stainless Steel water bottle is spill proof, leak proof, keeps your water cold for hours, and is easy to clean. It also is slim so it’ll fit in cup holders and sides of backpacks.
The other day I used one of mine for cold brew coffee and milk and was amazed when 3 hours later it was still cold! I know it would have kept it colder longer but I was thirsty. Ha!
There are many different colors and sizes!
Iron Flask
IronFlask has 6 different sixes that each come with 3 different lids that you can switch out depending on if you are working out, sitting at home, etc.
Glass Water Bottles
I used to LOVE the idea of glass water bottles. I had a great one that I took with me everywhere and loved. Until the day it dropped, broke, and cut me as I was trying to clean up the pieces. It even had a silicone sleeve but sometimes when things drop that are glass, there is just no saving them. Of course, when this happened, my then 1-year-old son was with me and we were just leaving a long day at the zoo 40 minutes from home. I was working on getting us into the van and somehow it dropped out of the diaper bag and landed on the floor of the van, getting glass shards in the van, and then the rest landed on the ground. I had to clean it up in the van, of course, and even on the ground somewhat so I didn’t puncture a tire as I was leaving or have someone else get hurt by it. Either when it dropped or as I was cleaning it up, I sliced my hand open bad enough I had to apply pressure for quite a while before I could drive us home.
Anyway…these days I stay away from glass water bottles, though I do still own another one. BUT I do have some recommendations…
Ello Syndicate Glass Water Bottle with Flip Lid
This Ello Syndicate glass water bottle is awesome because unlike many others, you can operate it with just one hand. Most glass water bottles require that you twist off the top but this one you can use one hand to hold it while also flipping the lid open. It is completely dishwasher safe, though I always washed mine by hand. Water really does taste better from a glass water bottle than plastic, but it’s all dependent on personal preference.
Ello also has a lifetime warranty for many things, such as the lid no longer working correctly. This is the water bottle that I had that broke but honestly, even though it broke, I still recommend it. I loved it and looking at it again I’m thinking of getting another one. It was just a fluke accident that it fell out and hit just the right way to break open. If I remember correctly, I think that at one point my lid wasn’t working right and they sent me a free replacement right away. They have great customer service.
