Are you pregnant with twins but not sure when you’ll deliver due to different types of identical twins being delivered at different times? I’m a mom of MoDi Twins and I created this twin due date calculator to help you determine what to expect when you’re pregnant with identical twins!
Note: this is not medical advice, check with your Maternal Fetal Medicine provider (MFM) for more details regarding your twin pregnancy.
How to Use the Twin Due Date Calculator
- Type in the first day of your last menstrual period.
- Select the type of identical twins you’re pregnant with.
- Click the calculate due date button and it’ll show you your standard due date plus the due date based on when it is suggested to deliver your type of identical twins. You’ll also see how far along you currently are (feel free to revisit whenever you need an update!) and when you will complete each trimester.

About Twin Types
Di/Di Twins (Dichorionic/Diamniotic): Each twin has their own placenta and amniotic sac. These can be fraternal or identical twins. Typically delivered around 38 weeks.
Mo/Di Twins (Monochorionic/Diamniotic): Twins share a placenta but have separate amniotic sacs. These are always identical twins. Typically delivered around 37 weeks.
Mo/Mo Twins (Monochorionic/Monoamniotic): Twins share both a placenta and an amniotic sac. These are always identical and the rarest type. Typically delivered around 33 weeks due to higher risks.
Note: This calculator provides estimates based on general guidelines. Always consult with your healthcare provider for personalized medical advice.
