These are fun toys that they’ll continue to play with for years beyond learning how to match colors but also when pretending to have a grocery store or market stand. My kids still love playing store and my youngest are in Kindergarten.

I always love including board books in Easter baskets for little kids! Some of our favorite board books are Llama Llama Easter Egg, Happy Easter Mouse!, The Story of Easter, Happy Easter Bunny!, and the Beginner’s Bible for the Very First Easter. Our kids continue to like these board books every Spring/Easter season, year after year.
Spring and Summer Items
If you want to get more practical items for your toddler’s Easter basket you could get them a new bathing suit, water table, water bottles, sunglasses, and other items for warmer weather. Even now that mine are older kids, they continue to love our water table! It’s amazing how long little kids will play at a water table. i.e. as a parent, you might actually get to sit down for a couple minutes and relax while they enjoy the water table!
