Candy Land
Candy Land is another classic game that I remember playing and loving when I was little! I have to say, my oldest got this for Christmas and it’s not as robust as the version I had from the 1990s, and the game board looks a little different. It’s still a lot of fun though and has the same basic rules. It’s great for helping kids learn to take turns, learn their colors, counting, and being ok with the fact they may have to go all the way back to near the beginning depending on the card they draw.
Mr Bucket
Another classic one here. I didn’t grow up playing this one but my kids got it for Christmas and LOVE it! It’s great because it contains their already designated colors, as I’ve written in other posts, so they don’t fight over the balls that shoot out.
Trouble
Trouble is another classic that I grew up playing and always really enjoyed. I love that the die stays in place and doesn’t get tossed around like in most games. One caveat though, when our twins were newly 3 we had to take this game off a shelf they could reach because they’d just put the pieces on their fingers and walk around touching each other with them. All in all that was fine, though they tended to upset each other by doing this, but I was afraid they’d lose pieces! Other than that issue, this is a very fun game and easy to understand even for littles.
Update: now that the twins are almost 4, they love playing this game and no longer put the pieces on their fingers. Yay!
- INCLUDES 2 DICE: This Trouble game amps up the fun with a number die and a symbol die in the Pop-o-Matic dice roller; the symbol die gives players a boost of power for moving their pegs around the board
- DON’T GET BUMPED BACK: This edition of the game includes a shield on the symbol die; when a player pops that symbol, they get instant protection against being bumped back
- GAME FOR AGES 5 AND UP: Do you remember playing the original Trouble game as a kid. Introduce your own kids to this edition of the Trouble game. The game is for 2-4 players, ages 5 and up
- POP-O-MATIC BUBBLE: Like the classic Trouble game, this edition includes the iconic Pop-o-Matic die roller bubble. It's fun to press, and it keeps the dice from getting lost
- GREAT FAMILY GAME: Adults and kids 5 and up can play this family-friendly board game together. It's a fun indoor activity and a great choice for game night
